Everyone has gifts.

Some are easy to recognize—abilities, talents, and skills we use confidently and with joy. Others may be overlooked, underdeveloped, or waiting for the right opportunity to be expressed.

No one offers exactly what you offer. Your particular combination of strengths, experiences, resources, relationships, and ways of caring creates a distinctive capacity to contribute.

East is an opportunity to discover and appreciate what is already present in your life. This part of The Giving Compass will help you recognize your strengths, notice gifts you may have underestimated, and consider how they might be offered wisely, freely, and meaningfully.

Three simple steps

You will move through this experience in three parts:

  • Recognize the gift clusters that feel most like you
  • Refine those clusters by selecting strengths and skills
  • Review a draft profile you can continue to test and revise

This is a guided reflection rather than a test. Choose what feels true today; you can revise your responses later.

Which gift clusters feel most like you?

Start broad. Choose the clusters that most clearly reflect how you naturally help, encourage, build, lead, or support others. Select 2 to 4.

Recognition before precision Choose what feels true today You can revise later
Choose 2–4 clusters to continue.

Which strengths and skills fit your selected clusters?

Now move from broad recognition to specific expression. Within each selected cluster, choose the items that describe how you most often show up. There is no need to choose everything.

Suggested: choose about 3–6 items within each selected cluster.

A first look at how you tend to give

This is not a final verdict. It is a draft profile—an initial mirror designed to help a person notice patterns, name gifts, and reflect on where those gifts come alive in the world.
